God forbids us from making any kind of religious image.Why did I go to the church where there’s no salvation, where they violate God’s command and set up the cross?

Cross is merely a piece of tree.
We remember the God`s blood of sacrifice on the cross
God said "You shall not make for yourself an idol in the form of anything in heaven above or on the earth beneath or in the waters below."(Ex20:4)
